"For patients with a more serious type of this disease, rapid first aid is a prerequisite for survival," President of the Association of Slovak Hemophiliacs (SHZ) Jaroslav Janovec. "Hematologists must be contacted if they are injured and can provide adequate treatment for bleeding" Angelika Bátorová, head of the National Center for Hemophilia, was informed. Internal bleeding may be a hemorrhagic treatment that threatens the life and bleeding prognosis. It is often a vital operation before being transported to a hospital.
External haemorrhaging, according to Viliam Dobiáš, head of the Slovak Red Cross, follows the same principles as for other people: with a bleeding wound, it is possible to push the fingers or the palm directly on the site of bleeding. When the rescuer has bandages and a first aid course, he can apply a compression bandage.
In case of bleeding from limb and neck injuries, when large blood vessels pass just below the surface of the skin, it is important to provide for shock-proof measures. The injured person should be placed in a comfortable, calmed position and prevent heat loss through the blanket.
Hemophilia is incurable and congenital. The disease is transmitted by healthy women and suffers by the descendants of the family. Some bleeding is spontaneous.
