Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak has again pleaded for a new security strategy withdrawn from parliamentary discussions on Tuesday under pressure from the IEC. "Russia's behavior in Ukraine is a cause for concern, it is not an ideological document, it is necessary to realistically name problems and not cover our eyes with reality," the minister said.
Last year, the government approved a new security strategy mentioning threats to Slovakia.
Pellegrini Doobeda said that it was crucial for him. However, Lajčák thinks that should go to parliament, otherwise this document does not apply.
The Minister continues to advocate for Slovakia's participation in the Marrakech conference. "To flee the debate about the problem and make it disappear is irresponsible, if the problem is solved by other people, it will probably not be dealt with in our interest," added Lajčák.
