BRATISLAVA. Salary scales for civil servants and civil servants will increase by 10% compared to next year and from 2020 as well.

This follows from higher-level collective contracts signed Wednesday by the government office.

In his address, Robert Fico, Speaker of the House, pointed out that the Slovak economy has never been as good as in the past two years and that the government is communicating the results to the people .

He warned that salaries would be increased not only by officials, but also by firefighters or chiefs. The fact that collective agreements guarantee wage increases for two years is seen as an expression of stability.

Andrej Danko, head of the SNS, pointed out that, despite the increase in salaries in the public and public spheres for 10 years, the Finance Minister, Peter Kažimir, announced next year a balanced budget for the Public administration.

Béla Bugár, president of Mosta-Hid, pointed out that the increase in wages of 10% two years in a row means an increase of 21%. "We are talking modestly about 20%," he said.

Union Trade Union Confederation Vice President Monika Uhler said the signing of new collective agreements for a two-year period was an extremely important moment, a sign of social reconciliation.

She estimated that new salary tables would be introduced into the civil service next year and that no salary would be lower than the minimum wage.
