In Berlin, people marched on the rights of sexual minorities

A hundred people walked the streets of the Berlin metropolis in the afternoon to defend the rights of sexual minorities and a more tolerant society.

They did not even breathe high temperatures at about 33 degrees Celsius. The organizers of Christopher Street Day (CSD) this year under the motto "My Body – My Identity – My Life" was expecting about 400,000 people. It was the jubilee, the 40th edition of this traditional event of the Berlin LGBTI community, reported Deutsche Welle.

Traditionally, the rainbow steps were full of colorful costumes, allegorical cars and music. The organizers also published 11 political demands on the empowerment of sexual minorities in their visibility and family life. The event culminated with an evening meeting at the Brandenburg Gate

Only about 450 people met at the first CSD event in Berlin in 1979.
