The highest point of Slovakia, but also the Hungarian mountain Matra, are visible. The photo itself represents only a Slovak town and the beautiful historic city of Banska Stiavnica, also on the prestigious list of UNESCO. Jan Šúr, a young photographer, has created a unique photograph representing the largest panorama of the city in the whole country.
It took him dozens of hours. First take 1600 shots. This sounds difficult, but in fact it was the simplest part. Much more time, technically, was to process 48 GB of material. It lasted about a month. The result is a unique panorama of one of the most beautiful cities in Slovakia.
"I've been taking pictures for a long time and sometimes, when I needed more resolution, I was taking panoramas from three pictures, at that time I thought the picture should be as high as possible and I I created a panorama of 1 gigapixel by combining 160 photos taken with a 200mm lens Panorama was a success, many people shared and commented on it, he told us about his inspiration Ján Šúr.
"Then I decided to put it to a higher level and create a much larger project. I looked for a better view, bought a larger zoom lens, and then just waited for good weather with good visibility. "
The result is a panorama of Banská Štiavnica, where we can see the shield of Gerlach and the Hungarian matra. In addition, of course, the city itself with all its beauties is very detailed.
