The Lithuanian Castle Rescue Association began on Monday, July 9 with the first construction work of an electrical connection. The introduction of electricity not only helps the volunteers who gradually restore the castle but above all, allows the lighting of the exhibition spaces. In addition, they will not have to use electric generators to connect electrical devices such as drills or mixers
The project entitled "Enlightened Castle" is gradually acquiring a realistic appearance. Electricity will be introduced at Lietava Castle thanks to the support of the sponsors. The association was able to collect nearly 30,000 euros to build the connection.
An electrical connection 800 meters long will be made in difficult terrain, but will not interfere with the pleasant environment around the castle. It will be stored throughout the country. The first work started only recently, and it was excavation in a steep terrain just at the foot of the castle.
The ceremonial beginning of electricity at Lietava Castle is scheduled for Saturday, August 18th. On this day will also be a national action entitled Night of castles and ruins
