DJI introduced a new device that extended the Osmo product line.
In this case, however, it is not a stabilizer for smartphones, nor a big camera stabilizer, Osmo Pro. Osmo Pocket is a tiny mechanical stabilizer with an integrated 4K camera and it really does a lot. At least, at first glance, it looks like this. Its dimensions are 121.9 × 36.9 × 28.6 mm and weighing only 116 grams. Whoa! The pocket is composed of several parts, the base being a 3-axis mechanical stabilizer on which the 4K camera is anchored (12 Mpx, CMOS 1 / 2.3 ", f / 2.0, width 80 °).
These two pieces are on the handle, which is refined in the details. In addition, it is a miniature (we wonder how he will sit in his hand), a small high-resolution touch screen, two controls and a multifunctional connector, with various accessories, including smartphone connectors, various media, controls, etc.
The device has a built-in Li-Po battery with a capacity of 875 mAh, which should last more than 2 hours with a single charge, which represents correct performance. But we will see what will be the reality during the test. The battery is recharged via the USB-C port located at the bottom for about 73 minutes. Of course, there is a slot for a microSD card that can hold up to 256 GB.
With the stabilizer, a rich range of accessories has been introduced, allowing you to use this device in various conditions, even under water! This is the first Osmo to which a waterproof case (up to 60 meters) is also available, which constitutes a considerable advantage. Thanks to its miniature size, it will not interfere in any activity. The newspaper will be appreciated by ordinary users, but even more demanding. The advantage is that in some situations, Osmo Pocket can compete with action cameras, GoPro or complement them very well when making videos.
K DJI Osmo Pocket also a completely new application – DJI Mimo (for Android and iOS), which allows, among other things, professional-quality video clips. Of course, there are also different modes, – fpv, active track, panorama 3 × 3, motionlapse, nighthot and timelapse. In the application, you can also activate the PRO mode to set all the necessary details when recording video or shooting.
