BRATISLAVA. Taxation of goods and services using vouchers will change.
This is what the amendment to the law on value added tax, approved Thursday by Parliament.
Changes changed to October
It introduces harmonized rules for the processing of vouchers that can be exchanged for goods or services.
Changes in this area are expected to come into effect on January 1 of next year.
Finally, in order to allow sufficient time for the necessary adjustments to the taxpayers' systems, MEPs approved the extension of this deadline to 1 October 2019.
In total, however, the amendment will enter into force on 1 January of next year and, in addition to the above-mentioned changes, it will also remove the requirement to provide a guarantee for value added tax when registering taxable taxpayers.
The amendment also implements the EU directive on simplification of rules for digital service providers.

Changes are also made when the value-added tax is refunded to tourists.
The amendment reduces the amount needed to obtain the value-added tax refund from the current 175 euros, but tourists will now be able to benefit from the tax rebate application, which will make it easier for them to claim the refund. VAT.
The amendment was passed by a vote in Parliament, also with the amendment proposed by SNS MP Radovan Baláž.
According to her, the tax is free of fuel in customs warehouses or other warehouses, as far as they are destined for international trade.
The promoter promises this increase in the increased volume of crude oil stored in Slovakia, which should help to increase Slovakia's energy security.
