The first concepts of the Tesla Model X had a design a few years ago without traditional side mirrors. Audi prides itself that the e-Tron will be "the first mass produced vehicle with virtual exterior mirrors". The market will be in place for a few years, but Audi obviously believes that this specific design element will not be scrapped before the start of production.
