PC Review | Telekom started running RCS, text messages and voice calls received new features

Telekom brings to its customers a brand new standard for sending messages. RCS (Rich Communication Services) supported worldwide will add existing SMS that have been with us for over 25 years. The new feature is for Android phone users who are getting new features for their integrated SMS application.

New Features and Features
The new standard brings you some benefits now. Users can access, for example, group reports file transfer, emoji support, stickers, location sharing and other features.

Unlike standard SMS, such messages and information will be transmitted via data, just as with third-party messaging applications. The advantage is that no application or plug-in should be installed for the use of RCS, advanced features will also be available via the built-in email application on Android phones. If the customer wishes to continue using only standard SMS for sending messages, RCS can disable the phone settings. The user is confident that such a message will always be delivered – if the recipient of the message does not have active RCS, the message is simply sent as a standard SMS.

New Features for Calls
The new RCS standard will provide added value even for voice calls. Android-OS clients have the following useful options:
