Renault has traditionally offered several versions of the Mégane RS. While the base with a simple landing gear and a slot machine is great, the trophy will be a circular weapon. Renault could also try to resume the Nürburgring pre-election championship.
The new version will be standard with the Torsen differential cutter. The chassis itself is stiffer and offers a 4Control rear axle. The shock absorbers have hydraulic stops, just like the rally cars and the Citro and in the C4 Cactus.
An important element of the extra equipment is wheel disks of a diameter of 19 inches. They have a particular look, but they are almost identical to the RS 001 concept. They are light. Each is lighter than 2 kilograms from the standard disc. The supplement is Bridgestone Potenza S007.
Bimetallic brakes are also responsible for weight reduction. These are for the usual versions at an additional cost, but for the trophy, they are standard. On a wheel, that's 1.8 kilograms. Renault has even brought the Recaro sports seats to 20 millimeters for better driving.

The engine remains with a capacity of 1.8 liters, but the power has increased. It has a new 221 kW (300 hp) and a torque of 400 Nm for the manual gearbox. In the case of a seven-stroke automaton and two clutches, the torque is shifted up to 420 Nm.
The Mégane RS Trophy with a manual gearbox can handle a hundred in 5.7 seconds and can ride at a speed of up to 260 kilometers per hour. With an automatic gearbox that has 20 Nm more performance will be even better.
However, Renault is also working on a crazy version without rear seats, supposed to be better to surpass records. The Trophy-R will be called in advance.
