This can only be seen once in a lifetime! The bloody moon, which has been named after its color, has had the opportunity to admire locals almost everywhere in the world.
A unique theater, when Earth and Moon overlap and eclipse, will reoccur for a century. So people from around the world did not hesitate, and there were several hours of waiting on Fridays. How did this phenomenon capture our readers in Slovakia?
The heavenly theater was not so visible in all parts of Slovakia. For example, at the Rimavská Sobot Observatory, small visitors were dissatisfied. The moon was unable to observe the beginning of the eclipse because the sky was full of clouds and it was raining. "About 40 people came to see us just before crying," says Daniel Rapavá of the Rimskosobotske Observatory . The staff prepared four binoculars for the visitors on the terrace, but they were also prepared for an unfavorable scenario. "In particular, the children were disappointed, so we prepared a replacement program for them, we showed them various physical toys and we talked about astronomical attractions," Rapavá added. The most terrible visitors, however, were finally able to see and watch for a moment, for what they were looking at in the observatory.
"The eclipse was the longest complete eclipse of the Moon this century, its partial phase lasted 3 hours 55 minutes and a total of 1 hour 43 minutes " was approached by the director of the Pavol Rapavý observatory.In his words, the moon was just above the middle of the shadow of the earth, and so during the full A dark brownish point was projected onto its surface, the maximum phase of the eclipse occurred at 22,22. "The moon of Capricorn was like a ruby red in the dark sky," says he, the ec lipse being visible for about half an hour after midnight. "Its distance to the Earth was only 58 million kilometers, which is the closest since 2003," Rapavy explained. In contrast, planets are closest to the Earth, night horizons and maximum clarity.
