Spanish ships rescued Friday and Saturday nearly 1,000 migrants who tried to sail from North Africa to Spain.
AP reported. The Spanish Naval Rescue Service said that only on Saturday morning 10 cruise ships in the Mediterranean Sea had a total of 206 migrants
Friday's balance was 774 saved from 52 boats. Most of the migrants were captured in the Gibraltar region, the closest place between the North African and European coasts. Several boats were discovered by Spanish rescuers in the Alboran Sea east of Gibraltar and near the coasts of the province of Alicante
Hundreds of refugees arriving in Spain were reported
