Synology represents the Surveillance Station 8.2 Beta service and uses a smartphone as an IP camera

Synology announced the release of the beta version of Surveillance Station 8.2 and invited stakeholders around the world to participate in the beta testing program. The new version introduces LiveCam, a brand new application for security cameras, which instantly creates an IP camera from the unused smartphone

The redesigned DS camera offers better performance and compatibility, as well as a list extent of supported hardware. In addition to a large number of updated features, this application also has a new generation Application Center offering greater flexibility in managing add-ons. After the beta phase, we will use your valuable comments and suggestions to refine the official appearance of Surveillance Station 8.2

A security camera created from the LiveCam smartphone will be integrated into the Surveillance Station network and its videos will be immediately accessible DS cam application. With an application available in Application Center, users can extend their tracking capabilities by using the different plug-ins that best meet their needs. Monitoring options are further expanded with IP speaker support that allows users not only to broadcast sound, but also to monitor the ambience of these devices via IP cameras

Surveillance Station 8.2 Beta has the following new features:

• With LiveCam, you can create IP cameras from your smartphones: An IP camera can become a mobile device. After installing LiveCam on your mobile phone, you can add this phone to Surveillance Station as a temporary recording IP camera. You can use unused smartphones, at home or in a business.
• Apps Center that simply knows what you need: A new application style, called Application Center, offers up to 26 applications and tools. Using category filters or keyword searches, you can quickly search for the desired application and customize the Revised DS cam Surveillance Station
• with unprecedented performance and compatibility: The Next Generation DS cam not only offers a more concise viewing environment for intuitive video navigation. With Offline License Verification, you can also deploy your system easily and even faster.
• IP Speaker Support: The Surveillance Station 8.2 can broadcast sound or configure scheduled broadcasts on built-in IP speakers.
• Monitoring large projects with time-lapse: Timer reduces long videos for minutes or even seconds.
• Double Verification of Data Double Verification: Double Verification limits the use of sensitive functions such as camera management or video access, and only to persons authorized to do so from beginning to end of the project. the other party and constitutes a more flexible approach to access management.
