BREZNO. At the end of the summer, it is necessary to go to Brezno. There are many reasons for this. In addition to a wide range of activities that Horehronie proposes, the group of organizers, led by Maroš Pavúk, the cultural attaché of this region, decided to fill the city from Brezno of a living culture in the form of the E & A Festival 2018.

The festival will take place on Friday and Saturday 10 August 11 A multi-genre music festival reminiscent of Elena Chénot and Adolph Simona, who have played an active role in the development of Breznian culture, as well as a memory of the French days that took place in Brezno in the past.

On Friday, August 10, 2018, the festival opens, in Bombure, the cosmopolitan musician Ivan Mer. This modern fairy in his music goes beyond genre boundaries and creates his own world and his own language. In his creation, ambient electronic elements, atmospheric landscapes, vocal harmonies and acoustic instruments mingle. His music grows in silence, inspired by the sound of the sea, the natural elements and the inner world of the soul.

It is a great pleasure for the organizers to return to Finnish Bosnian Värttinä after three years. The ensemble is considered a jewel of Finnish music with over 30 years of history

. Those who grew up with the band certainly have not forgotten the characteristic penetrating female voice complemented by acoustic instruments like accordion and guitar. The creation of Värttinä is based on tradition, but it has never prevented the whole from testing completely new techniques. In 2017, they joined the Finnish rapper Paleface, who had already experimented with his traditional platinum albums with traditional folk music and ethnic sounds. The conclusion of Friday night will belong to the young Bystričan of the group No mercy! The group has been working in small variations since 2008 and is particularly interested in French music. It will be a strong night with the famous French songs.

Sitting in the city park

On Saturday, August 11, we start with the program not only for children. We invite all cultures of greedy parents, mothers, fathers, elderly parents, with their children, to spend with us a pleasant afternoon in the city park. This part of the program will be free for visitors!

The book-to-book book will present the writer Diana Mašlejová, who will talk to children about books and the meaning of reading. He will put them in his latest book, The Lost Capricorn in Paris, whose children will read excerpts. They will be interviewed with children on all sorts of adventurous themes.

Diana will also present her book "The Secret Circus and the Fairy Tale" in a blue room. You can also enjoy the popular group for children Pánko. Small and big visitors will transcend the mysterious world of Swing, Bossan, Jazz or Rock in their songs. The man has also prepared an interactive mini music workshop for you. The program continues in the courtyard of the Horehron Museum. The unique atmosphere of the Czech amphitheater of Alena Čermáková is attributed to the atmosphere of France. We are also delighted to welcome the French female duo Baroque Tantric Pop, who will show you a playful performance in the form of medieval music in a new dress using an interesting historical instrument of the viola da gamba

This will be the festival town of Brezno thanks to the musical invitation of the workshop of Bratislava drummer MARIBONDO. Their musical journey through the city ends in the City Park with an energetic rhythm of samba and Brazilian reggae.

Around 7 pm the evening program begins at the Bombura Club. From the beginning, it will be the Slovak Longital. The creators of song pictures with a flash of genius perfectly brilliant, fluttering commonly between rock, folk, electronics, poetic poetry and improbable experimentation. The music that pumps you into the pyrotechnic energy and puts you in a state of levitation.
