GreenWay will bring online 31 charging stations online

The charging station network will increase by 1/3, which means more charging options for EV drivers in Central Europe

Gdansk – The GreenWay network is growing almost ⅓. On July 27, 21 new fast charging stations will be added to Poland and another 10 will be added in August. With the 33 existing stations in Poland and more than 30 in Slovakia, the total number of chargers in the GreenWay network reaches almost 100.

According to the Polish Electric Mobility Act, which entered into force in February 2018, each public charging station was to be inspected by the Technical Inspection Board (UDT). However, until recently, there was no standard to regulate the nature of the inspection. On July 27, an amendment to the Electric Mobility Act, which contains guidelines for the regulation of charging stations for the TUP, will be enacted and will give them 12 months to do so. Meanwhile, existing charging stations may be in service, which means for GreenWay the ability to access dozens of stations that have long been waiting

The remaining 10 chargers are in final preparation and will be operational at the end of August

"Since the adoption of the Electric Mobility Act, we look forward to the next step and we are happy that this moment has come," said Rafał Czyżewski, CEO of GreenWay Polska. "With the activation of new charging stations, the ability to recharge EV in Poland is increasing dramatically, and thanks to GreenWay's new GreenWay sites, EVs will be able to enjoy their travels more comfortably, easily and comfortably."
