NITRA. The Jaguar Land Rover factory from Nitra will produce a new Defender. The prototype of the new Land Rover Defender has traveled 1.2 million kilometers of test.

Nitra's Jaguar Land Rover is preparing to increase production. He is currently seeking 850 additional employees to present 1,500 employees.

Currently, only the Land Rover Discovery is produced in Nitra. "The start-up phase of Land Rover Discovery's production in Nitra is planned and we are constantly increasing production," said Miroslava Remenárová, Business Relations Manager at Jaguar Land Rover Slovakia.

The question of a possible new extension of the plant is open to the future, which would imply a third change of work.

For this scenario, the automaker is gearing up with the intent laid out in the Environmental Impact Assessment Act (EIA), which extends the logistic space of materials and logistics planning and built a new plant to install battery modules and large batteries. Phase 2 would increase production to 300,000 cars a year.

"From the start, we announced that we would do another feasibility study to consider a possible future expansion of the Nitra plant. This could potentially achieve a total capacity of up to 300,000 vehicles per year over the next decade, "said Remenar for SITA.

According to her, the EIA's bid is tied to the intention of thinking about the future of the Nitra breed if the company decided to extend it later. "Any feasibility study is the subject of a thorough evaluation and analysis of the company and we have not yet made a final decision in this area," he said. declared Remenar.
