Theater and opera were donated to Hanáková in Vienna, from the family of theater artists. As a child, she played in the operatic productions of the Slovak National Theater (SND), where her mother worked at the time, the mezzo-soprano Ružena Kustrová. At the Academy of Performing Arts, she studied singing and dancing at the opera.

"Immediately after school, she joined the Košice State Theater, where she successfully performed many operatic characters – Jolana and Julia in Cigánska láska, Adel to Netopier, Valencia to the widow, Zerlin to Don Giovanni, Musetta to Bohemia, Rosina to Barber of Sevilla, Olympia in the news from Hoffmann and many others, "said Dohovič. Together with his wife, scenographer Jan Hanák, they then formed a theater team that underwent a number of opera and operetta operations at the Košice Theater, together with Danica Hanáková, creator. In 1997, she prepares her latest production – the opera Giuseppe Verdi La Traviata, which is performed on the stage of ŠD until January of this year.

"She has been faithful to the Košice theater throughout her professional career, but she has successfully performed in Prague, Ostrava, Brno, Miškovci and has also toured the Netherlands and Germany," said Dohovič. .

The ensemble of the opera ŠD Košice presents his monument and remembers the performance of the opera Nabucco of Verdi, Wednesday, November 28.
