This power unit provides 226 horsepower and works with a nickel-hydride traction battery. The multi-stage hybrid system with the 3.5 liter V6 engine generates 359 horsepower. The 180 horsepower electric motor derives its energy from a lithium-ion battery.

Toyota plans to deliver 4,500 Toyota Crowns per month to Japanese customers.
