But it was not funny that they were laughing.

"I noticed that they had typed Jackie Chan for my name, instead of asking me for my name," said Choi.

Choi said he was coming out of the Davis Lake boardwalk with his frustrated and angry young children. Shortly after, he learned of another similar incident the same day.

"I was very shocked when I saw this picture and she was just on the street the same day, a few hours apart," said Choi.

Another guest, Calvin Caldwell, said it was Sunday at a Smoothie King restaurant along Mount Holly-Huntersville Road, when his name figured as the "n-word" on his receipt.

"I thought it was very disrespectful, I thought it was very rude," Caldwell said. "Especially since I am a paying customer and a loyal customer because I often come to Smoothie King, and I thought it was bad taste and totally inappropriate to use that kind of language."

The CEO of Smoothie King said that what happened was "totally unacceptable" and against "all the values we defend".

The two employees involved were fired.

"Let's hope they learn from this situation, know what they did wrong and take things seriously," said Choi. "You're not kidding about things like that."

Choi said he received calls from a company manager Smoothie King and that the owner of the franchise concerned had apologized for the incident.
