Every week, I'll look back at Battle Counts with more accurate depth charts and try to illuminate the players' consumption. The first game of the season gave us one of the circuits that added a rookie in 2019. The Bears RB count was interesting, to say the least. Cohen saw most of the shots but did not see a single postponement. However, he queued in the slot for 70% of his shots, which is consistent with the use of last year. It looks like he'll be solid again in 2019, although he's nonexistent in running. Davis and Montgomery separate and do not look very good against a strong Green Bay defense. It will take at least another week of waiting.
Los Angeles Rams RBs – Todd Gurley 54, Malcolm Brown 21, Darrell Henderson 2
Before the match, McVay had said that Gurley would not be limited and his shots show that this is true. His use, however, has the owners nervous, as he separated 14-11 door with Malcolm Brown. Which brings us to our second concern … did we all pull the wrong handcuffs? Darrell Henderson saw almost no PT and Brown experienced two DTs. Philadelphia Eagles – Miles Sanders 36, Darren Sproles 23, Jordan Howard 17
Speaking of recruits playing more snaps than veterans, I bring you, Miles Sanders. Sanders is a very competitive candidate, he shared almost 50% of the shares with veterans, but ended up with fewer fantasy points. Things will improve, he has talent and the Eagles clearly trust him, so it may be the best time to try to recruit the rookie. Sproles ahead of Howard is a lot more disturbing and Howard seems not to be worthy of a bench.
Los Angeles Chargers – Austin Ekeler 48, Justin Jackson 16
Melvin Gordon will be absent at least until the 6th week and after this week it is clear that Austin Ekeler is "the guy"! Ekeler beat Jackson 19 to 9 and tripled the number of his catches. Combine these numbers with the three Ekeler DTs and you get an imaginary RB1.
Kansas City Team Leaders – Damien Williams 45, LeSean McCoy 20, Darwin Thompson 2
DO NOT PANIC the owners of Damien Williams. He carried the ball more than Shady and was on the field for more than twice as many games. The Haters will tell you that he was saved by a TD, but the defense of the Jags is not a joke and the game will become easier. Shady will have some value continuously and Darwin is officially dead, apart from an injury or dynasty.
Houston Texans RBs – Duke Johnson 42, Carlos Hyde 25
After the Lamar Miller injury, the Texans added 2 new RBs and no one was really sure how that would happen. Hyde started the game, but Duke saw the field more often. It seems that both will depend on the progress of the game. Duke will be the guy in high performance games. In games where Texans are the big favorites, lean towards Hyde.

Kansas City WR Chiefs – Sammy Watkins 65, Mecole Hardman 53, Demarcus Robinson 43, Tyreek Hill 12
Tyreek Hill fell early in this one and will miss a few weeks. Obviously, Sammy Watkins will be the WR1 of the team and his performance against a more than competent Jags defense proves he has an overall WR1 potential. Hardman and Robinson find themselves in a very advantageous position for the next 2-4 weeks, but will have to do a lot more than in the first week.
Arizona Cardinals WRs – Larry Fitzgerald 85, Christian Kirk 83, Damiere Byrd 78, Keesean Johnson 68
Kliff Kingsbury's high-volume offense is clearly shown in his instant WR scorecard. The four cardinals who started the match finished in the top 15 instant counts. Outside of Larry Fitzgerald, the results did not exactly match what you were looking for, but as Kyler Murray improved, all of these types could add value. Michael Crabtree will steal the role at Byrd or Johnson
San Francisco 49ers WRs – Samuel Deebo 60, Marquise Goodwin 50, Dante Pettis 2
We are in "total panic" mode for Dante Pettis. Kyle Shanahan said his lack of playing time was due to his injury and lack of training, but that foul did not seem to be enough for the WR player to get one of his places.
Oakland Raiders WR – Tyrell Williams 55, Ryan Grant 41, Hunter Renfrow 16, (Darren Waller 58)
The loss of Antonio Brown was unrolled pretty much exactly as expected. Tyrell Williams and Darren Waller will lead this attack by receiving this year. Those with high hopes for Hunter Renfrow may want to temper those expectations.
TE of the Colts of Indianapolis – Jack Doyle 43, Eric Ebron 25
TE4 last year was almost doubled by Jack Doyle. These two models had only one grip and had no fantasy value, but only one had cost you an average round pick at the end.
