LONDON – Societe Generale on Wednesday reported a net profit of 470 million euros for the fourth quarter of 2020.
Frédéric Oudéa, CEO of the group, said in a press release: “The fourth quarter results once again confirm the rebound in our activities observed in the third quarter after a start to the year marked by the effects of the Covid crisis.”
Analysts expected net income of 252 million euros for the quarter and a loss of 822 million for the year. The French bank published a net profit of 862 million euros for the third quarter.
The stock has fallen more than 43% in the past 12 months.
