Solana Monkey Business (SMB) recently sold an NFT for a record $ 2 million, the equivalent of SOL 13,027. The NFT in question, the Solana Monkey # 1355 is now the most expensive Solana-based NFT.
The crypto block reported that just three weeks ago, the first Solana-based NFT sold for over US $ 1 million, proving once again that the Ethereum blockchain could lose its dominance in the world of cryptocurrency. Solana Monkey # 1355 is considered the rarest NFT in the collection and features a monkey in a skeleton body wearing a jeweled crown.
According to Solanalysis, Solana’s monkeys are now going for an average of 456 SOL. With this new achievement, Solana’s pixelated monkeys are now in the top five in the PFP rankings, joining Ethereum’s Bored Ape Yacht Club, Cool Cats and CryptoPunks.
