Solange will no longer participate in this year's Coachella Valley Music and Art Festival. The festival has published a declaration citing "significant production delays" as the cause of his last-minute cancellation. "She offers her sincere apologies and looks forward to performing at Coachella in the future," the statement said. Pitchfork contacted representatives of Solange and Coachella for further information.
In January, Coachella 2019 announced that Solange was one of the many artists to perform at this two-weekend event. Childish Gambino, Tame Impala and Ariana Grande are at the rendezvous of the festival. Yesterday, a machinist lost his life on Coachella's campground while working on the organization of the festival. The first weekend of the festival will begin Friday, April 12.
