Unilever has signed an agreement to sell its Ragu and Bertolli pasta sauce business to Japanese condiments maker Mizkan for $ 2.15 billion. Mizkan will get two plants in Kentucky and a tomato processing plant in California.

Mizkan America Inc. has voluntarily recalled some varieties of Ragu pasta sauces, stating in a press release that they might contain plastic fragments.

The company said it has not received any new reports of consumer injuries, but has published the recall with "caution," the statement said. Any recalled sauce must be discarded and not consumed.

Consumers should look for a code on the yellow cap of the jars as well as on the expiration date of the jars to determine if the products are included in the voluntary recall.

The sauces recalled:

No other size or variety of sauce is affected by the booster, according to the company.

All sauces were prepared from June 4th to 8th. The company said in a press release that it was working with the country's retailers to remove the affected products from store shelves.
