“This is the worst (explosive) march I have ever been to!” A walker screamed at a protest in Portland, Ore. On the day of the inauguration which turned into a riot, according to a report.
Some of the dozens of black-clad Antifa activists and anarchists who clashed with police and vandalized the Oregon Democratic Party headquarters with anti-Biden graffiti in the city’s southeast on Wednesday appeared to be wondering what was exactly the purpose of the group.
“Who set up this (expletive)?” Another walker questioned over a megaphone as the disjointed protest began, OregonLive.com reported.
“We don’t have leaders,” was the reported response.

Many rioters expressed their contempt for the police as well as for the new president.
A tweet about the PNW Youth Liberation Front Twitter page announced the inauguration day rally as “F — THE STATE. F — BIDEN. LANDBACK. F — 12.” As of Friday morning, the tweet was still live although Twitter restricted the account. (“F — 12” refers to the font.)
Organizers have also discouraged live broadcasting or “peace policing”.
The march was one of many protests that took place in Portland and Seattle when President Biden was sworn in in Washington on Wednesday.
The group also carried a banner with a photo of a gun that read: “We don’t want Biden – we want revenge for the police killings, imperialist wars and fascist massacres.”
Protesters, who quickly grew to around 200, shouted slogans such as: “No good cop, no good president!” and “Black lives matter!”
At the start of the march, the protesters immediately clashed with the police and attempted to grab an officer’s bicycle, which was quickly recovered.
The Portland Police Department said it made announcements over a loudspeaker, saying: “Officers observed people in the Revolution Hall neighborhood pick up an officer’s bicycle and throw objects at officers retreating. Everyone at Revolution Hall is reminded to obey all laws. “
“The roads in the area remain open to vehicular traffic and no permits for the use of the roads in the area have been approved. Pedestrians and protesters must obey the traffic rules and use the sidewalks. Non-compliance of this directive may result in a citation or arrest. “
Eventually, they found themselves in yet another clash with police in a parking lot near a high school after appearing not to know where they were heading, OregonLive reported.

“I don’t know where (the curse) I’m going, but I don’t give a (curse),” a 20-year-old walker reportedly shouted as the group tried to avoid a police roadblock.
She told OregonLive she was walking to remind people that she didn’t want people to forget “Black lives matter” just because former President Trump stepped down.
Another protester said he was rallying because “black people are living (an insult). Injustice. It is time for this to be done.”
As the group reached a freeway ramp, one person wondered aloud where they were going while another complained about the worst march they had ever seen.
Shortly after a woman said, “This is not about provoking a riot if this does not happen”, some members of the group reportedly began indiscriminately smashing the windows of the Democratic Party building. Oregon and tag it with anti-Biden language.
Some of the group became frustrated with the destruction and left the rioters.

Police said they caught up with rioters in the parking lot near the high school and arrested at least eight for disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and reckless burns.
Marches like Wednesday’s have frustrated police reform activists and members of Black Lives Matter who say senseless violence and destruction has challenged the movement against police brutality and turned people against the movement.
Many of these activists have distanced themselves from the rioters and condemned the violence, according to OregonLive.
