Some will be lucky to have already received their pre-orders of Samsung’s shiny new toys, including the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Watch4, but some will have to wait a little longer than expected. Reports suggest that Samsung is unable to keep up with demand and needs to delay some shipments of its latest products.

As the German blog AllAboutSamsung reports, the company is sending emails to some pre-order customers to let them know they can’t meet the promised delivery date. This only affects some models, apparently the LTE versions of the Galaxy Watch4 Classic with the 46mm band and 512GB configuration of the Galaxy Z Fold3. If you have ordered accessories, they may still appear earlier.

Buyers who received a shipping date in late August may now have to wait until mid-September – this is going to be painful for those who want to play around with Samsung’s highly anticipated new hardware. The delays are due to higher than expected demand, which is not too surprising. Foldable phones are going mainstream, with more interest than ever, and the Galaxy Watch4 line is the first to ship with the new Google / Samsung co-developed version of Wear OS. Fingers crossed, you won’t have to wait too long to get yours.
