Some Super Mario LEGO sets appear to be “soon to be retired”

It’s been an exciting week if you’re a fan of Lego and Nintendo’s Super Mario series – with the reveal of the Super Mario 64 ‘?’ Block, but it looks like some older sets may be retiring soon.

As spotted by VGC, the UK Lego store will apparently be removing three Super Mario sets from Wave 1. They include the Boomer Bill Barrage expansion set, the Whomp’s Lava Trouble expansion set, and the Builder power-up pack. Mario.

Once the stock runs out, it probably is, which is pretty standard when it comes to Lego sets. It’s unclear when the rest of Wave One will officially retire, but Lego is currently well on its way with their Third Wave Super Mario.
