The 21-year-old son of comedian and actor Tony Baker (“A Black Lady Sketch Show”) was among three people killed in a devastating car crash in Burbank, Calif. On Tuesday evening August 3.

The victims, who were thrown from their vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, included Tony’s son Cerain Baker and friends Jaiden Johnson, 20, and Natalee Moghaddam, 19. An unidentified fourth passenger was seriously injured and was taken to a local trauma center, according to a press release from the Burbank Police Department.

Cerain’s father said his son’s death “felt like it wasn’t real,” telling NBC 4 Los Angeles: “We are getting waves of grief. We are sobbing uncontrollably. Then it’s back to regular conversation. Cerain’s brother Cencere called him “just a guy that everyone loved, so nice!”

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner said the three victims died of “multiple blunt wounds,” according to People. The occupants of the Mercedes left unharmed, while the driver of the Kia “suffered serious injuries,” police said, and was taken to a trauma center. One of the cars caught fire, and the photos show the Volkswagen in pieces, with the rear half missing.

Burbank Police Sgt. Emil Brimway said in his 19-year career he had never seen such a catastrophic car accident. “Personally, I haven’t seen anything like it, not this magnitude and this level of debris over an expanse of two blocks,” he said.

Friends and family gathered to mourn and honor the victims during a vigil at the scene of the accident on Wednesday evening. Ava Recchia, a friend of victim Moghaddam, told ABC7: “She always lit a room and she always touched everyone. She left an imprint on everyone she was friends with.

No charges have been laid and the accident investigation is ongoing.
