Sonic the hedgehog

Here's one we'd put in the Not Surprising In The Slightest folder. Following the outcry over the appearance of the main character in the first full trailer (which you can watch here), we are told that the film itself will be delayed to allow changes to Sonic the hedgehog.

Twitter hitting to announce the news, director Jeff Fowler has at least seen the fun side, adding "#novfxartistswereharmedinthemakingofthismovie".

It was Fowler who had already gone online to respond to critics of the film, originally scheduled for November in the United States (and December here), with complaints about the strange style of Sonic that began just when Poster had fallen. "Thanks for the support and the critics," wrote Fowler. "The message is loud and clear … You're not happy with the design and you want changes, it's going to happen, everyone at Paramount & Sega is fully committed to making this character the BEST of all." it can be … "… less strange human teeth?

Sonic the hedgehog will now be entering US theaters on February 14th (this seems to be the perfect movie for dates, maybe it will be now!) and has not yet confirmed a date change in the UK -United. Will this affect his earning capacity? The real test for this will be via the next trailer …
