The film Sonic the Hedgehog has a new look and a delay will give artists time to realize it. Director Jeff Fowler revealed on his Twitter account that the next video game movie should now arrive on February 14, 2020, just over three months after its original release date, November 8, 2019. The image has two main elements on which to focus. First, the frontal placement of the silhouette of the head of the old school Sonic on the sign. This is a cartoon hedgehog in the early 90s, before the era of Sonic Adventure's attitude that gave him sharper edges and longer spikes. Certainly, this silhouette is an icon for the Sonic series as a whole and may not indicate what it will look like in the movie.
Second, check the gloved hand and the gnarled arm holding the sign. The original design of Movie Sonic got rid of these funny animal– White gloves marked and gave him a painfully well muscled body, so that's a big change. The arm is more closely resembling his video game forms, although purists find that Sonic usually has bare arms (as he wore a blue fur suit with holes in his arms, stomach and face). Sonic games and cartoons of Sonic Boom have blue arms, so maybe the new design of the movie will also draw from this lanky crazy.
The extra-long hashtag Fowler included in the Tweet is just as important. After the excoriation on the internet It led him to promise a new look for the Sonic people, worried about work, worried that it meant a longer crisis period for visual effects artists who would have to rebuild the main character of the film in about six months. Three additional months will not reduce the task to creating a new Sonic design that will appeal to all fans for the entire movie, but this will make it easier to manage.
