Sonos joined the product announcement night today with the unveiling of Sonos Move, their first portable speaker with Bluetooth to bring the rhythms with you.
With Sonos Move, the speaker company hopes that your Sonos wallet will expand from room to room, outdoors and on the go. The move does not lack features, even with an internal battery and Bluetooth connectivity. You still have the Trueplay setting that will automatically give music to your environment. Plus, you'll have a choice of wizards, including Google Assistant (available when Wi-Fi is available). You can also insert the Move option directly into your existing Sonos configuration or control it separately in the Sonos app.
The Sonos Move features a completely black design with an exterior that can withstand drops, bumps, rain and moisture, dust and dirt, UV and extreme temperatures, according to Sonos. It has a rating of IP56.
The battery inside Sonos Move should last up to 10 hours of continuous playback. It comes with an included charging base for backing up.
The Sonos Move arrives on September 24 for $ 399.
