Sonos raises the prices of its speakers and soundbars

Sonos speakers are about to get more expensive. The company said on Friday that most speakers in its line would see price increases from September 12 due to the supply chain constraints.

The Arc sound bar is set for the biggest price jump – from $ 799 to $ 899, an increase of $ 100 – while the majority of the range climbs by $ 20 or $ 50. The Sonos Boost Wi-Fi Expansion and Sonos Port Streaming Component remain at their current price, $ 99 and $ 449 respectively.

The price increases are no surprise. Brittany Bagley, Chief Financial Officer of Sonos, confirmed during an earnings call in August that price increases were imminent (PDF).

“We always evaluate our prices based not only on cost, but also on our situation from a supply and demand perspective,” Bagley said. “And when we look at all of these factors, we will be raising some prices before our next fiscal year.”
