Sony has sold the worldwide rights to the animated feature Phil Lord and Christopher Miller The Mitchells against the machines to Netflix. The photo was previously known as Connected.

The photo circled the release schedule during the pandemic, with an opening date of October 23 before Sony did date it. After Sony saw the terrible profits on Principle last September, they pushed Connected in spring. I understand that Netflix sued the film and paid well north of $ 110 million for the film for global rights without China.

The film is directed by Mike Rianda and co-directed by Jeff Rowe with a screenplay by Rianda and Rowe.

Pic follows a family’s daily struggle to identify with themselves as technology expands around the world. When creative outsider Katie Mitchell (Abbi Jacobson) is accepted into the film school of her dreams, her plans to meet “her people” in college are shattered when her nature-loving father Rick (Danny McBride) , decides that the whole family should drive Katie to school together and bond as a family one last time.

Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Kurt Albrecht produced the film and Will Allegra, the executive of Louis Koo Tin Lok, produced.

Voiceover stars also include Maya Rudolph, Mike Rianda, Eric Andre, Olivia Colman, Blake Griffin and Doug The Pug.
