Sorry, try Obama’s house: Secret Service can’t use Ivanka Trump’s toilet | Ivanka trump

The last days of the Trump administration have been plagued by even more scandals in the form of riots, Twitter bans and impeachment. Now the Washington Post has added another: the bathroom door.

In a multi-line article, one of America’s major investigative media detailed the seemingly extreme difficulty that Secret Service detail assigned to Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump had in finding a place to use the bathroom.

According to the Washington Post, the president’s daughter and his wife, a senior White House adviser, have apparently exiled the team of men and women tasked with preventing them from using the restroom at their sprawling Washington DC mansion.

“Having been ordered not to use one of the half-dozen bathrooms inside the couple’s home, the Secret Service assigned to President Trump’s daughter and son-in-law spent months searching a reliable toilet to use at work, ”the newspaper reported, citing neighbors and law enforcement officials.

He quoted a law enforcement official who said, “This is the first time I’ve heard that a Secret Service detail has to go to these extremes to find a bathroom.”

He added that members of the Secret Service in the details of the couple who were desperately seeking relief had resorted to a porta-potty, as well as a toilet at the home of Barack Obama and Vice President Mike Pence.

The solution to the problem was not cheap. Since September 2017, the newspaper reports, the federal government has rented a basement studio with a bathroom to the disaster-stricken members of the secret service so that they can use the toilet. The cost to taxpayers? About $ 3,000 per month.

A White House spokesman refused the couple to restrict agents’ access to their home. But the Post stuck to its investigative weapons, saying: “This account is disputed by a law enforcement official familiar with the situation, who said officers were being kept away on demand. of the family.”

The Post’s story is unlikely to endear the citizens of Washington – or indeed many other Americans – to Ivanka Trump and her husband as they step down after four high-profile years in the administration of Donald Trump. Several reports have already nicely detailed the couple’s likely rejection from the New York and Washington DC social circles they have already moved to.

Not that the couple will be missing a place to call home. They recently bought $ 30 million of land on an exclusive island in Florida dubbed the Billionaire’s Bunker.
