Pixar’s Soul continued the studio’s tradition of mounting its next film by including a 2021 Luca teasing Easter egg.

Pixar has a tradition of including Easter eggs in its films that set up the studio’s next film, such as when a toy version of Nemo from The world of Nemo appeared in Boo’s room Monsters Inc. and Toy story 3 Villainous Lots-o’-Huggin ‘Bear appeared in a child’s room To the top. The studio’s latest film, Soul, is no exception, including an Easter egg for the 2021 Luca.

Announced in July 2020, Luca takes place in a picturesque seaside town on the Italian Riviera, where a young boy named Luca Portorosso spends his summer embarking on all kinds of adventures with his new best friend Alberto. However, Alberto is truly a sea monster from a world deep under the ocean and only appears human on land.
