Sounders vs Club León, Leagues Cup full-time: Seattle collapses

[ad_1]

The Seattle Sounders have won just about anything an MLS team can win at the national level. One thing that has escaped them is an international trophy. They will have a chance to change that tonight when they face Club León of La Liga MX in the League Cup final.

Even after beating two of North America’s most successful clubs en route to this Las Vegas final, the Sounders will have their work cut out for them. León won his first two games of this tournament with an aggregate score of 8-1 and sits fourth in the La Liga MX standings. They have also been one of the best teams in Liga MX over the past few seasons, winning the 2020 Guardianes.

Although they played on Saturday, the Sounders should be reasonably well rested as this game featured heavily renewed training. Likewise, León deployed a rotating squad in their loss to FC Juarez this weekend and should be at full throttle in this one.
