The New York Giants are planning to sign a two-year contract with Antoine Bethea, a security veteran, a source told ESPN, confirming an NFL report.

Bethea knows the defense of Giants defense coordinator James Bettcher well since their time alongside the Arizona Cardinals. He also had four passes in defense, a forced fumble and 121 tackles. In 2017, he scored five career record interceptions for the Cardinals.

Bethea has been selected three times at the Pro Bowl with 24 interceptions, 75 defensive passes, nine forced fumbles, 9.5 sacks and 1,223 tackles in 13 seasons since being selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the sixth round (207th overall) of the 2006 draw.
