The Houston Texans continue to tell any team that calls they don’t negotiate Deshaun Watson, league sources told ESPN, which means the standoff between the team and its franchise quarterback will continue.

As speculation continues to swirl over Watson, the Texans have moved forward with sweeping organizational changes. Last week they fired director of football administration Kevin Krajcovic, equipment manager Mike Parson and his team and another longtime employee, Doug West.
Parson has been said to have a close relationship with Watson, and these changes are not suitable for players.
One player commented privately to ESPN that the Texans are eliminating employees who were not hired by executive vice president Jack Easterby and new general manager Nick Caserio, replacing them with employees who will be beholden to them for their work .
These changes shouldn’t improve the situation with Watson, who asked the Texans to trade him.
Watson, who signed a four-year, $ 156 million contract extension in September, is under contract until the 2025 season. He has a no-trade clause, but given the length of his contract and with the ability to brand him franchise for three years, the Texans could choose not to trade him and would have control of his rights until the 2028 season.
The swap request comes after Watson was reportedly unhappy with the process the team used to hire Caserio in early January.
