Stroman, 29, had his 2020 season delayed due to injury, then on August 10 he decided to retire from the shortened season due to COVID-19 concerns.
The New York native joined the Mets organization in July 2019 when the Mets sent out leads. Anthony Kay and Simeon Woods Richardson at the Blue Jays.
Stroman went 4-2 with a 3.71, 4.15 FIP, and 9.1 K / 9 ERA in 59 innings for the Mets in 2019.
