Spice Girls share photos to mark ‘athletic’ Mel C’s 47th birthday

The Spice Girls took to social media to share a series of comeback snaps on Monday to mark Mel C.’s 47th birthday.

Victoria Beckham, 46, wrote: “Here are so many amazing memories together! as she shared an old image of herself with Mel C aka Melanie Chisholm on Instagram in which she sipped a glass of red wine.

While Emma Bunton, 44, uploaded a black and white snap of the pair standing together as they also celebrated Sporty Spice’s big day.

Meanwhile, Geri Horner, 48, shared a series of pictures of herself with Mel as she wished her friend a very happy birthday.

Posh Spice’s pic Victoria saw her sporting her signature brunette bob and flaunt her washboard abs in a black bra as she stood comfortably in front of a Mel wearing T-shirt.

Captioning the post, she wrote: ‘Happy birthday to the wonderful @melaniecmusic. Here are so many amazing memories together! Kisses xxx. ‘

Meanwhile, the monochrome photo of Emma saw herself and Mel looking young and sporting huge smiles as Mel wrapped her arm around her bandmate.

Emma wrote: ‘Sending love and hugs to my birthday girl @melaniecmusic. I can’t wait to see you in person and get back to our spicy ways! I love you so much.

Elsewhere, in Geri’s Snapshot series, she was seen dancing together with Mel C at the premiere of the short-lived musical Viva Forever in 2012.

While other snaps have seen them share a hug on stage and backstage complaining.

In a gentle massage to her friend, she said, “ It’s your birthday! Happy birthday @melaniecmusic. A wonderful sister of spices. So proud of you. I wish you much joy, love and success. ‘

The official Spice Girls Instagram page also shared a collage of images to honor Sporty Spice’s birthday.

Mel B has yet to publicly send a birthday message to Mel C.

Meanwhile, with the 25th anniversary of Spice Girls’ debut single Wannabe approaching in 2021, Mel B recently insisted the girls are ready to mark the occasion ‘as soon as the rules allow’ ‘.

With countless shows and tours canceled and postponed over the past year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the singer admits plans have been difficult to implement, having reformed the group for a tour Spice World UK in 2019.
