Spider-Man 4: Sam Raimi is still haunted by his film Unmade Marvel

Sam Raimi's unpublished film, Spider-Man 4, is part of the legendary superhero movie. However, Raimi and Sony split even before Spider-Man 4 began producing and Sony relaunched the Spider-Man movie franchise twice. Once with Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man, and again with Tom Holland in the current co-production with Marvel Studios. The latest Holland Spider-Man vehicle, Spider-Man: Away from Home, is currently the fifth most profitable film in 2019.

While many agree that Holland Spider-Man's films have been great, there is a dedicated community of fans who love Raimi's version of the Marvel superhero. So much so that the recent trailer for a new Spider-Man comics line aroused a massive expectation when it was originally supposed to be an adaptation of the non-produced Raimi Spider-Man movie. This was not it.
