Insomniac Games has given Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales players a new Spidey costume with the latest update.

Rolling out today, the Spider-Man: Miles Morales update brings the advanced technical suit to the game and also includes various fixes.

One of the cool things added, but only in the PS5 version, is the realistic muscle strain on some combinations.

What Insomniac did was a full simulation of the character from the inside out, using techniques previously only available for movies.

This technology allows for the deformation that you will see on the surface of the costume. This means that you can expect a more realistic simulation of muscles and tissues with the muscles moving inside the fabric of a costume.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales has proven to be a hit for PlayStation as in 2020 it sold over 4.1 million units. This number includes both PS4 and PS5 copies, both digitally and at retail.

By comparison, Insomniac’s previous Spider-Man game sold over 3.3 million in three days. It has now sold over 20 million units since its release in September 2018.
