What appears to be a standalone version of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered has been spotted on the official PlayStation site.
Currently, the only official way to access the PS5 game is through the $ 70 / £ 70 Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition, which includes a download code for Remastered.
This fact is actually stated on the PlayStation Store webpage which appears to list the title as a standalone product priced at $ 39.99 in the US and £ 44.99 in the UK.
We couldn’t find any reports that players were successful in downloading the product. In fact, some who already own the game as part of Miles Morales Ultimate Edition report that it appears as Spider-Man Game of the Year Edition when added to their cart and the same happened when we have tried.
It is not known if the listing is an error or if it was discovered before an official announcement, but we have reached out to Sony to ask.
Insomniac Games recently released an update for Marvel’s Spider-Man that allows the transfer of save files from the PS4 to the PS5 remaster.
