Rob Lowe will play in the lead role of FOX 9-1-1 spin off, 9-1-1: solitary star, which is expected to debut next season.
The new series will take place in Austin, Texas. Lowe will play a New York policeman who moves to town with his son and juggles to save lives while trying to solve his own problems at home.
Sources said Variety Lowe will earn more than $ 200,000 per episode, and will also be executive producer. Like the original series, Lonely star was created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear. It will be produced by 20th Century Fox TV with Ryan Murphy Television and Teley-Vision by Falchuk.

By chance, Lonely star is not the only "fish out of the water" procedure that Lowe works on. 9-1-1 finishes its second season and will return to fall for season 3. The show has two great mysteries to be resolved before the end of the season, with captain Bobby Nash (Peter Krause) still in the hot seat after the officials discovered the real reason he left St. Paul, Minnesota for Los Angeles. Maddie, the call center operator of Jennifer Love Hewitt, could also quit her job.
The 2019-2020 television season will be a great season for Fox, who is now an independent broadcaster since Disney acquired its twin studio, 20th Century Fox TV. The network will have 10 new shows that will debut next season, including Lonely star.
