Spoilers Avengers Endgame: Who is the child in the end?

[ad_1]

Now that the world sees Avengers: Endgame in record numbers, the latest installment in the Infinity saga of Marvel Cinematic Universe, there are many questions. And that 's before you consider what is happening right here in the MCU. We know that some movies are coming, but how will Marvel Studios surpass what it's already done? Warning: The following contains spoilers for Avengers: Endgame.

Although most of the questions that you will have to solve will probably receive some time, we can solve some of them at the present time, whether it's about a post-credit scene or about the end of the movie. However, there is another question – a minor, but still – who is ready to receive an answer.

Towards the end of the film, at the funeral of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), many of those he knew during the first decade of the MCU are seen, from his fellow Avengers to the Guardians of the Galaxy, even friends like Aunt May (Marisa Tomei) and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). There was a face in the crowd that you might not have recognized, however: that of a teenager. At a glance, you may have dismissed him as Peter Parker (Tom Holland), but the answer is actually a very nice Easter egg.

The boy is Harley Keener (Ty Simpkins). You must remember him as Tony Stark 's kid in Iron Man 3. In the 2013 movie, Tony travels to Tennessee after an attack by Mandarin (Ben Kingsley), where he befriends Harley. The child then helps him find Mandarin and plays an important role in helping Tony cope with the PTSD he suffers from due to the fallout from the first Avengers movie.

Harley was not seen or mentioned in the MCU after Iron Man 3, but inviting him to Tony's funeral is a very good idea – and shows the impact Stark had on the young man. In fact, now that he is growing up, Harley could possibly be a candidate to become the next Iron Man. It probably will not happen, but what a pleasure it would be. No matter, the mystery is solved.

Avengers: The final phase is on the bill now. Be sure to check out GameSpot's review of the film, as well as the story of all the dead and a deep dive into Dr. Strange's plan between Infinity Was and Endgame.
