Spotify acquires SoundBetter from the music talent market

Spotify has acquired the SoundBetter music talent market, the company announced. Founded in 2012 and qualified as "De facto LinkedIn for Music Professionals", SoundBetter allows artists, engineers and other audio professionals to buy and sell services such as recording. , mixing, mastering, etc.

Last February, Spotify acquired the podcasting companies Gimlet and Anchor. In July, the company closed the beta direct download program that allowed artists to transfer their music to the platform without the need of an outside distributor.
