Spotify is now available in India

This personalized experience means that Spotify makes the application available in several local languages. Reading lists have also been created especially for India and some Indian cities. And then, there are the playlists containing the best Indian movie songs.

Spotify faces stiff local competition

Spotify was launched in India at a critical time. The streaming music service has 200 million users, of whom 96 million are paying for the privilege. However, Spotify has to face stiff competition, especially from Apple Music, which is experiencing incredible growth.
