It seems that Spotify is testing a button allowing users to create podcasts from its application, using Anchor.
Jane Manchun Wong, who wrote on Twitter on Tuesday August 27, said, "Spotify is testing the 'Create podcast' button to channel its users to Anchor, a podcasting platform recently acquired by Spotify. Interestingly, there is a Brazilian version of the Anchor promotion page.
Anchor is one of two New York-based podcast companies (alongside Gimlet Media) acquired by Spotify in February for a combined $ 343 million.
The company offers a platform for creating, distributing and monetizing free podcast that indicates that its mission is to "democratize audio".

In May, Spotify published an article on Spotify for Artists encouraging artists to create their own podcasts with the help of Anchor.
