Spotify adds a long-requested feature to its Premium Family package, the ability to filter explicit content. The updated Spotify Premium Family plan now offers on-demand access to 450,000 podcast titles and more than 50 million ad-free music tracks.
In addition, Spotify announced that parents can now control the explicit Content Filter setting of all other accounts in their plan. The music broadcasting company has confirmed that the update is already available in Ireland and that it will be rolled out in all markets with Premium Family this fall.
The Spotify Premium Family Plan provides six individual accounts for family members living under one roof, which means you keep your own music and playlists recorded.
Another new addition to the Premium Family Plan is the ability to manage family settings in one place, including adding or removing family members, keeping your home address up-to-date and adjusting parental control.
Plus, families get exclusive access to a personalized playlist of songs that your other family members might enjoy. The feature is called Family Mix. It is updated regularly and allows parents to control who is attending each session.
If you are already a Premium Family user, but you are not located in Ireland, you will be notified as soon as the improved Family Plan is available in the coming months.
